About

The Chickasaw Nation was the first tribe to receive direct funding under Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act (PRWORA) to provide child support services to Native American children. The Chickasaw Nation Child Support Servics (CNCSS) program was established to assist Native American children in receiving their mandated child support.  We provide child support services to Native American children throughout Oklahoma.

Eligibility
  • Must be Native American or
  • Must be willing to stipulate to the jurisdiction of the Chickasaw Nation district court
  • Child must be under the age of majority (18) for establishment services
You Provide
  • CDIB for all children or custodial parent
  • Copies of all court orders, divorce decrees or paternity affidavits
  • Affidavit of all child support payments paid directly to custodial parent
  • Copies of state-issued birth certificates for all children  (hospital-issued birth certificates cannot be accepted)
  • Copies of Social Security cards for all children and custodial parent, along with copy of non-custodial parent, if available
  • Completed Child Support Services application
  • Photo of non-custodial parent (if available)

Below is a list of services provided by the Department of Child Support Services:

  • Establishment of Paternity
  • Court Order and/or
  • Genetic Testing – Buccal Swab Collection
  • Establishment of Child Support Orders
  • Enforcement of Child Support Orders
  • Locate of Custodial and Non-Custodial Parents
  • Modification of Child Support Orders
  • Alternative Conflict Resolution Services
  • Tribal Enforcement Payment Program

Eligibility for Alternative Conflict Resolution Services:

Alternative Conflict Resolution Services (ACRS) is designed to assist in creating child support compliance and the frequency of child support paid.  The main objective is to create an atmosphere of ongoing cooperation and efficiency between our clients.

  • All parties must be willing to participate and cooperate with ACRS Coordinator and services requested.


Eligibility for Tribal Enforcement Payment Program:

  • Non-custodial parents who have failed to meet their monthly court ordered child supprt obligations and have pled guilty to contempt charges, or have been found guilty of contempt and a sentence has been imposed, may be ordered into the program by the court upon a recommendation by the attorney. Placement into the program would be in lieu of penalties or jail time.
  • Non-custodial parents, who are currently employed but are not meeting their current obligations, may be ordered into the program so that the child support payment can be obtained and monitored through an income assignment to the employer.
